How to add a roommate or family member after you’ve applied
What to do if someone else needs to be part of your application.
A roommate or partner who’s on the lease
Everyone named on the lease applies. If you’ve already submitted, they start their own application at resources.padder.com/renters using the same property and lease details. Then email underwriting@padder.com with both names and the email addresses used, and our team will link the applications so your household is reviewed together.
A parent or family member who isn’t on the lease
Apply in your own name. A close family member, such as a parent, may be able to support your application as a Responsible Party, but it isn’t something you add yourself. Every application is reviewed as a whole, so we can’t say ahead of time whether it will change the outcome. If you’d like someone to support your application, email underwriting@padder.com and tell us who it is. Our team will let you know the next step.
