Can I cancel Padder or get a refund?

For both Padder Guarantor and Padder Deposit, what you pay is an insurance premium, not a deposit or a landlord fee.

You can cancel and receive a full refund of your premium, tax and any processing fee before you sign your lease. After your lease is signed, the policy can't be cancelled or refunded. If your leasing plans have changed, please email support@padder.com to let us know, and our team will follow up.

The one-time premium is what lets Padder take on the risk of paying your landlord if there's a covered loss (unpaid base rent or last month's rent) during the policy term.

When a refund or reversal may be possible

Your lease didn't go ahead

  • You paid, but your lease was never signed, or
  • Your landlord didn't go ahead with renting you the unit.

An error on our side

  • You were charged twice for the same policy
  • You were charged the wrong amount
  • Your payment was applied to the wrong lease or unit

Think something's wrong?

If you were charged incorrectly, your lease never went ahead but you were still billed, or the wrong policy, unit or amount appears on your invoice or receipt, email support@padder.com with:

  • Your full name
  • Your invoice or policy number, if you have it
  • A short description of what seems wrong

We'll review your application and payment history and let you know what we can correct or refund.
