How do I let my landlord or leasing team know I’m applying for Padder?
Padder keeps your leasing team in the loop for you as part of the application review.
Good news — you don’t need to do much here. As part of reviewing your application, Padder’s underwriting team contacts the leasing team at your building for you. Here’s exactly what happens.
Padder keeps your leasing team informed for you
During the review of your application, our underwriting team reaches out to the leasing team at the partnered property to:
- Let them know a new Padder application has come in for a prospective lease at their property
- Confirm your name and the lease details you provided, so we can verify you were referred to Padder through the leasing team’s own application process
- Share the outcome of your application — whether it’s approved or declined — so they’re kept in the loop. We don’t share any of the reasons behind the decision
- If you’re approved and go ahead with a policy, provide the leasing team with a copy of your policy once signing and payment are complete
What this means for you
- Because we confirm your details directly with the leasing team, make sure you’ve already gone through your landlord’s or leasing team’s own application and referral process before applying to Padder. If they referred you, you’re all set.
- Check that the name and lease details on your Padder application match what you gave the leasing team — that lets us match everything up quickly.
