Why did I get an email asking me to verify my email address?
Paddie, our AI assistant, checks it's really you before she changes anything on your account.
When you ask Paddie to update your contact details, she first confirms that you own the email address on your Padder account. She does this by sending you a one-time verification email.
What the email looks like
- Subject: Paddie (Padder's AI support assistant) wants to verify your email
- From: noreply@visitoridentification.hubspot.com. HubSpot is the platform we use for customer support, so the email comes from their address rather than padder.com.
- Button: Yes, this was me
What to do
- Open the email. It goes to the email address on your Padder account, so check that inbox (and your junk or spam folder).
- If you asked Paddie for the change, select Yes, this was me.
- Go back to your conversation with Paddie. She'll carry on with your request.
If you didn't ask Paddie for anything, ignore the email and don't select the button. Nothing on your account changes unless you confirm.
What Paddie can update after you verify
- Your phone number
- Your mobile number
- An alternate way to contact you
Paddie only updates your own details. If a roommate, co-applicant or Responsible Party needs to change their details, they need to contact us themselves.
To change your name or the email address on your account, Paddie passes your request to our team, and they'll follow up by email.
If Paddie can't make a change herself, she'll pass it to our team.
Keeping your account safe
The verification email only asks you to confirm it was you. Padder will never ask for your password, SIN, or card or bank details by email or chat.
Didn't get the email?
