How do I correct my application or start a new one?
What to do depends on whether your policy has been issued yet.
Applied and realised something needs changing? No problem. What to do depends on where you are in the process.
Your application is still in progress
- If you’ve submitted your application but your policy hasn’t been issued yet, you can’t edit it yourself, but we can update it for you. Email us at support@padder.com with your full name, the building address, and what needs correcting.
- If our underwriting team needs updated or additional documents, they’ll email you directly with what’s required.
You need to start a new application
Because your email address is linked to any application you’ve already started, you may not be able to begin a new one with the same email until our team has updated it on our end. The first step is always to email support@padder.com — what happens next depends on your situation:
- Same details as before: if your previous application was withdrawn or expired and nothing has changed, ask us to reactivate it and you can carry on from there.
- New or updated details: our team will archive your previous withdrawn or expired application so you can begin a fresh one using the same email address.
- Applying for a different unit or building also means starting a new application. For more background, see:
- Not sure whether to correct your current application or start a new one? Reach out and we’ll point you the right way.
Your policy has already been issued
- Small administrative fixes, such as a misspelled name, a wrong unit number, or an incorrect date, are easy to correct. Just let us know and we’ll issue a corrected document (an administrative endorsement) for your records. There’s nothing you need to sign or do.
- Bigger changes, such as changing your move-in date, adding or removing a co-tenant, or moving your coverage to a different unit, follow a separate process. Contact us and we’ll guide you through it.
The fastest way to sort out any of this is to contact Padder support.
