How co-tenants (additional leaseholders) are invited to apply
A quick overview of how everyone on a shared lease gets added to a Padder application.
If more than one person is on the lease, everyone completes their own Padder application, linked together as one household. Here's how it works from start to finish. The process is the same for Padder Guarantor and Padder Guarantor + Deposit.

The primary applicant lists their roommates. During their application, the primary applicant selects that they're not the only leaseholder and enters each roommate's email address.

Invites are sent when the primary applicant submits. Once the primary applicant submits their application, each roommate is automatically emailed an invite titled "You have been invited to join Padder." Invites are not sent before this point.

Each roommate opens their invite and signs up. Roommates click the link in their invite email and sign up (or log in) using the email address the invite was sent to. That's what connects them to the shared household application.

Each roommate completes their own application. Every leaseholder walks through the same steps on their own.

Reminders go out automatically. If a roommate hasn't started yet, we send automatic email reminders.

The household is reviewed together. Padder reviews the application once everyone on the lease has submitted, and we'll email you if anything else is needed.
